Vladimir started dancing Lindy Hop in Moscow in 2014. In about a year he added Solo, Balboa and Blues to the mix. Dancing quickly became his number one priority, taking up almost all available time.

Around 2016 he started DJing and going to live music concerts, where he developed a real interest in jazz music and its history.

After attending more international events he became fascinated with Shag and started teaching it in 2018 with Elena Gorbacheva. Soon after they started a show group called Moscow Shagsters, which eventually won the biggest Russian swing dance showcase competition. This contributed to the popularity of Shag dance throughout the country.

By 2022 he was competing and getting awards in every swing dance, including Boogie Woogie, had a blog about swing/blues music and dance, and was involved in organizing the biggest swing dance events as a DJ coordinator.

Never satisfied with mastering just one technique, he tried to learn them all to be able to see the bigger picture. The knowledge and love of swing music gave him a deeper understanding of the dance.

Vladimir started teaching and DJing at Studio Dansa in 2023.
